What a treat to get to contemplate together the stories of Hagar and Tamar – made all the more special by Candy Hill’s encouragement and insight. We got to hear about Hagar (a woman who barely felt like a person), her plight, her role in God’s plan and her importance to God. Hagar, the epitome of feeling unseen, actually said aloud for the first time in Scripture God’s name “El Roi” – confirming as she said the words, “You are the God who sees me.” Then Candy touched on Tamar, her status as “righteous” and the strong way she held her ground, God’s ground.
If you missed this week or would like to listen again, here you go. Thanks Candy for sharing!
