What a treat getting together this week to see God’s amazing story come to life through Sarai whose name He changed to Sarah which means Princess of the Nations (thanks for sharing this with us Lisa!)
We were so blessed by Lisa Clark who shared with us and reminded us that “circumstances don’t define our identity” and pointed us to Truth that the Lord declared about Himself, “Is anything too hard for the Lord? (Gen 18:14)
But rather than try to share it all here, you can take in the whole thing:
Carolyn Custis James, from Lost Women of the Bible:
We hear voices too, telling us we’re missing out or deficient as women if we’re alone or childless, if our families aren’t perfect or our home isn’t featured in Better Homes and Gardens. Even women who enjoy the single life and love their careers get lost in a world of couples and families and frequent reminders that they’re somehow incomplete. Those messages come form teh secular culture and, sadly, even from well-meaning Christian friends and leaders in the church. They do not speak for God. We are his daughters, and our completeness comes from him.
