Romans Lesson 5 – 4:1-25

This week Paul takes us back to the Old Testament and Abraham who was declared righteous by his faith: “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” We know the definition of faith that Paul provides in Hebrews 11 (being sure of what is hoped for, certain of what we don’t see), but we get a little more to the story in Romans 4:20-21:

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.”

Paul shares beautiful truth about freedom in faith and grace and God’s mercy. Here’s our chat led by Candy from this week:
