What a pleasure it has been to contemplate Romans together. This week Candy covered Romans 12. She shares that, “Paul summarizes Christian living in a sentence: Take your everyday, ordinary life—and place it before God as an offering. (Rom. 12:1)”
It’s your life God wants, and it’s mine….Life includes our whole self, the entire collection of feelings, actions, ideas. Brain, nerves, muscles, drives, instincts, perceptions. Life. It is me that’s offered up—all of me….He wants all of you. All of your heart. All of your mind. All of your time, your energy, your resources. All of your hopes and dreams. Every bit of who you are and what you have, he wants you to put on the altar as an offering to him.” The Message Study Bible, Eugene Peterson. Pgs. 1760-1761 (Excerpts)
We covered some familiar verses and dove into fresh takes and heard lots of encouragement, like “Don’t let the world press you into its mold” because “we’re more than conquerors.”
But rather than recap everything now, here’s our chat from Tuesday.
