Luke invites us into Jesus’ famous Sermon on the Mount, encouraging listeners to “come” (be willing), “hear” (with ears opened by God), and “do” (action piece of trust and belief) — never in our own power, but in the complete, sufficient and whole power of God through Christ who is, who encompasses, who has done and is still doing the beatitudes of which Luke covers 4.
