What a pleasure to gather and begin our Summer 2018 study on a few of the names of God. This week we went through the study’s intro as well as a brief Bible Overview then jumped right in to do Lesson 1 together. We looked at God’s name “ELOHIM” which means the All-Powerful One, Creator. It was fascinating to see that simply walking through the five contextual questions (who, what, when, where & why) can open eyes to aspects of God so easily overlooked. Next we jumped from Genesis to Exodus where God Himself reveals his name Yahweh – “I AM”, the self-existent One.
But rather than recap everything – here’s the audio from today (people were having such fun meeting each other, it starts a few seconds in)
Also – a couple of housekeeping items: On Day 1’s Scripture Search section, It should read Deuteronomy 10 rather than 5. Also in Scripture Search on Day 4, it should read Exodus 34 rather than 24.
Thanks – and sorry :)
