Such a beautiful morning, taking up where we left off last week at an event that changes everything – Pentecost, the staggering gifting of the Holy Spirit to his people. The Holy Spirit – a distinct character, separate character in the Trinity – a person who is our helper, intercessor, strength, power, rescuer and so much more, including Jesus in us. Wow.
Candy seamlessly guides us through Acts 2, the Gospel of John, Psalms and 1 Peter 1:3-5 …
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.
And the fruit of the Spirit from Galatians: “But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness[in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless.”
But rather than go into everything, here’s a link to the lesson:
